Alao-Akala Defects To APC

There were surprises at the residence of Governor Abiola Ajimobi
yesterday as one of his arch political rivals at the April 11 poll,
Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, appeared and congratulated him on his
victory at the Appeal Court.
Akala came third in the election and has distanced himself from any
petition against the winner, Governor Ajimobi.

On his congratulatory visit to Governor Ajimobi at his residence,
Akala who was beaming an inviting smile said; "I am here to rejoice
with my brother for the judgment of today. We already knew what the
outcome would be; we had expected what we got today. So we are
rejoicing.

On his possible defection to APC, Alao-Akala said "It has been on; we
are still crossing the t's and dotting the i's. I am on my way to
APC."
