One of the character of the Noble prophet Muhammad ( pbuh) is Humbleness, despite being the most blessed man on earth, slave girl of madinah would take hold of the hand of the prophet (pbuh)and take him wherever she desired (Bukhari) The prophet of Islam (pbuh) said;:Allah has revealed to me that you should humble yourselves to one another, one should neither hold himself above another nor transgress against another (Muslim).
And be kind and Humble to the believers who follow you.(Q26:215) you can only arrive at your goal by being Humble for arrogant leads to failure.
MAOLANA Shoibu l wakti and the hope of veiled Sheik li Islam Alhaji Ibrahim Niass RA said:-Being arrogant either due to knowledge, nobility of birth,social company is detested.
The sin committed which brings Humility to oneself is better and the act of worship which makes one arrogant is evil.
Moreover Sheu said:-If you see one who is older than you,you say; This is better than me and has obviously carried out many good works in obedience to Allah than what I have done.
If on the other hand you see someone younger than you,you say:this is obviously better than me for he has not committed as much sins as I have committed by virtue of his smaller age.
If you see a poorer person than you,you say:this is better than me because he has been unable to render much sinful works on account of the smallness of His means.
Also if you see a person richer than you,you say:this person is better than me,because he has spent a lot more of His wealth than what I have the capacity to spend in the way of God.
If you see a more knowledgeable person than you,you say:-This is more knowledgeable than me for the knowledgeable one is likely to be more pious or have a greater fear of Allah,with proof:Those who fear Allàh most among His servant are the learned scholar (Quran)
This is how you should rationalize with all categories of creatures.
Allah swt says:- so ascribe not purity to yourselves.He knows best him who fear Allàh and keep His duty to Him Q53:32.
So my co spiritual travellers be Humble as Humbleness will catapult you to success,arrogant destroys beware of it.
It destroyed firaon and karun.
