You Gain whatever your intention is in your companionship of Elects of
God.[It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah,but
its the piety from you that reaches Him.(Q23:29) And the msnger of
Allah pbuh said:The deeds are considered by the intentions,and a
person will get the reward according to his intention.so whoever
emigrated for Allah and His messenger.his emigration will be for Allah
and His messenger and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a
woman to marry,his emigration would be for what he emigrated
for.(Bukhari and muslim)Whateveryour intention is for your
companionship with Awliyahs will be given to you.Maolana Shoibu l
wakti Sheikh Ibrahim Niass RA said.A waliy is someone whose
companionship makes one to also become a waliy.it was because of this
that when we took companionship of shaykh,we also become waliy (friend
of Allah).Ibn Attah said: All glory is due to the one who never gives
a pointer to His friends except in the same manner that he gives an
indication to Himself;and none can achieve spiritual closeness with
them except whoever desires to link Himself with the sole object of
attaining closeness to Him.ALIYU Arazim at Tijani was asked: the
meaning of this,because we see some of them having companionship of
them (The waliys) but never becoming like them.HE SAID:If they move
close unto the elects of God for sincere,pure and selfless
reasons,they would have certainly attained closeness to God but
majority of them only have their companionship with these men of Allah
because of some earthly needs to be met;and whoever goes to a waliy in
order to meet a need will not attain anything pertaining to spiritual
fruits except of course that his earthly needs will be met but not
that he will attain a bond with Allah.this is so even if he lives with
him for100 years,he will not derive any benefit from the closeness
except the metting of His earthly needs.Thereforehe who keeps the
company of a waliy for the sake of Allahs pleasure alone,knowing that
this person is an elect of Allah; for his sincere and honest
affiliation on such a prenise himself become linked with Allah by
virtue of his companionship,hence he attains the closeness to Allah
without any Hindrance.Whoever refuses to follow the elect of
Allah,became envious of them,and envy has no cure,for envy eats up the
sustenance of man and the envious person desires to cuts ties of
Lordship.in addition,whoever refuses to follow the elect of
Allah,became envious of them and an envious person wants to uproot the
dominion of Allah.if this is the case my co spiritual traveller why
dont we base our companionship with our sheik on one goal which is
Allah alone,if you are asked what do you want just say Allah and let
Allah give you everything on His own free will.Jummat Mubaraq Hummat
